⭐️ About This Job:

We are looking for an ambitious Social Media Manager to work their magic for us, and grow our accounts into an incredible resource for digital artists looking to improve their work.

Your goals will be to:

  1. Grow our social media accounts by posting engaging, highly shareable content to our Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook Page + Groups, and YouTube.
  2. Engage & help our followers by sparking discussions, sharing tips & tricks, and creating fun social events and competitions for our followers to get involved in
  3. Promote our many awesome resources, by driving social media traffic to our blog, brushes, and courses

To excel at this job, you must be a self-starter. You don’t just twiddle your thumbs, waiting for work to appear. Instead, you actively seek it out. You work towards your goals, and proactively come up with great ideas to improve our social media accounts and create value for our students.

🙋‍♂️ About Us:

Hi! We’re Paintable – the world’s #1 online digital painting school. Founded in 2016, we teach students around the world how to create beautiful artwork using nothing more than a computer and a tablet. In just 3 years, we’ve already helped tens of thousands of students move towards their dream of becoming better artists. You know… the ones that actually get paid for what they do.

Hate cubicles and office politics? So do we. We’re a 100% remote team – meaning you can work from the comfort of your home office, local coffee shop, or that spare desk in your mom’s basement (ahem your “art studio”.)

We’re a tiny team with humongous goals. We like to have fun, aim high, geek out, and be proud of the work we do. And we want to keep that going by working with others who share our enthusiasm for helping others. Most of all, we’re looking for people who want to be there from the beginning – who want to make a real impact and help build this incredible company from the ground up.

🤩 Jobs You'll Be Doing:

  • Running our social media accounts, making sure high-quality content is posted every day, in tune with our message and mission
  • Brainstorm, plan, and run campaigns to drive traffic from our social media accounts to our website
  • Identify and track key success metrics for each platform, and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve our social media strategies
  • Be in charge of growing our Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook followings
  • Running fun competitions & contests to keep our audience engaged
  • Creating shareable, informational content to help our students become better artists
  • Starting conversations, answering questions, and making sure no-one feels left out!
  • Sharing "behind the scenes" infos & updates to keep our audience in the loop with our new classes
  • Promoting our many free blog posts across our various social media channels
  • Curating our Instagram feed with beautiful paintings, tips, and tutorials (yes... you'll be getting paid to browse through amazing artwork on Instagram!)

Remember: we’ll be giving you plenty of guidance, support, and higher-level objectives, but we don’t micro-manage. We’ll set goals together, but we trust you to figure out the best ways to achieve them!

👋 Please Apply If:

  • You LOVE sharing updates to social media, and interacting with followers
  • You understand that effective social media management is about data-driven results, not posting Buzzfeed quizzes and emojis all day
  • You have experience working with Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube
  • You have strong writing skills, with a fun, witty tone (you'll be the voice of the brand!)
  • You have a strong interest in the arts, and you're passionate about helping people
  • You have a great eye for design: you need to know what looks good, and what doesn't
  • You're a self-starter - you don't sit there idly, waiting for work to appear... based on our company goals, you proactively figure out what needs doing, and get on with it!
  • (Not required, but a big plus): You have experience creating graphics, video snippets, and other forms of shareable content
  • (Not required, but a huge plus): You have some experience with digital painting. Since this role will include creating content based around it, our ideal candidate would have at least a basic understanding of it

🤩 Make an impact: You get the chance to be part of the founding team & to make a HUGE impact on this business, as we grow towards becoming the world’s biggest digital art school!
