This is How I Discovered the Secret to Creating Epic Characters!
When I began my art journey, I was lost in a maze of frustration.
Iâd stare at blank pages, trying to bring characters to life, but it felt impossible. My anatomy always looked wrong, my outfits were bland and boring (I wasnât exactly a fashion expert), and no matter how hard I tried, I couldnât crack the code behind color, light, and shadowâŠ
Iâd scroll through social media, seeing incredible original characters, and think, “Why canât I do that?” I thought the problem was a lack of talent.
But the truth was I just needed a better process.
I stopped chasing random tutorials and focused on building a process- a step-by-step system that actually worked. Through trial and error, I discovered a method that transformed the way I create characters. Suddenly:

One Week Character is a digital painting challenge designed to help you create your very own Original Character, in just 1 week!
You start by receiving a client brief that will guide your character creation process. Then you choose a character to draw from a set of 5 descriptions that we’ll send you.
During the week, a professional artist will teach you the essential skills you need to create your own original character!Â
Are you passionate about art and love creating characters from your imagination? This challenge is perfect for you!
Whether you’re young or old, a hobbyist or a professional, EVERYONE is welcome to join and showcase their creativity!
The One Week Character Challenge is designed for beginner and intermediate-level digital artists.
Most people who take the challenge have some prior experience with digital art and illustration, and are looking to take their skills to the next level- but you’re welcome to come and learn!
Yes, we highly recommend you use a tablet to follow along with this course!
Any tablet will doâ whether thatâs a Huion, Wacom, Apple iPad Pro, Microsoft, etc. You donât need a professional tablet to paint professional artwork!
You can follow along in any software!
Weâll be using Adobe Photoshop (which we highly recommend), but you can follow along in Procreate, Krita, Clip Studio, Corel Painter, or any other software of your choice!
Nope- all lessons will be available online, so you can follow along from the comfort of your own home (or studio, if youâre fortunate enough to have one)!
